Travel FAQs

Do your tours include airfare?
No. And we do not reserve plane tickets.

Where should I fly?
For long-haul international travel (from North America, Asia, or Australia), we recommend landing in Madrid and taking one of the three daily high-speed trains directly to Pamplona (3.5 hours). You can also fly to Barcelona, and a train to Pamplona will take 4 hours. If you're flying from within Europe, fly directly to Bilbao and then drive 1.5 hours to Pamplona.

When should I book my plane tickets?
Tickets to Bilbao should be booked 6-9 months in advance. You should reserve your tickets to Madrid or Barcelona at least 4 months in advance otherwise the prices tend to increase.

Can I fly directly to Pamplona?
Yes. Iberian Airways (Spain's national carrier) offers 5 daily flights to Pamplona from Madrid. While convenient, these flights are normally quite expensive as Iberian has a monoply on domestic travel to Pamplona.

Do you book train/bus tickets?
Yes. Just let us know your arrival dates, arrival city and your preferred departure time (morning, afternoon or evening) and we'll take care of everything.
